Lisa Olivia Munn was conceived in Oklahoma City. Kimberly Schmid lived in Vietnam with Chinese ancestry while Winston Barrett Munn's family has roots deep in the American South. Her parents divorced when she was the age of two. Her family consisted of her mother who was in the United States Air Force, and also her stepfather. Olivia was raised at Tokyo within Japan. Even though her family had moved from Oklahoma to many other places, it was the city of Tokyo that she received the bulk of her education. In Japan, she appeared as an actress at local shows and eventually was an Japanese models for fashion. Olivia moved into Los Angeles when her family eventually returned to her home in the United States to follow her dream to be an actress. After a few small roles in her professional career, she took a very promising turn after she secured the part of Mily Acuna in the Hawaii-focused TV series Beyond the Break (2006) and also the role as Rob Schneider's receptionist on Big Stan (2007).
