Lita Rossana Ford also known as Lita Ford as she is popularly known, was an American-born British musician and vocalist who led the female-only hard rock band The Runaways during the late 1970s. The band was never able to the group to be a major hit in America however, they enjoyed a great deal of popularity in other countries particularly Japan. Ford launched a solo heavy-metal career after the breakup of her group in 1979. Her first solo release was called 'Dancin' on the Edge and was followed by the Album Out for Blood.
